I Believe-The Work Of Jesus

“Jesus suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended to hell.” The Apostles Creed

When we speak or confess these words of the Apostles’ Creed, this is what we are saying.

● “I believe in the ____________ of Jesus.”

Then he (Jesus) said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, Hebrews 10:9-12

When I confess the work of Jesus I’m saying:

1. Jesus made me ____________ with God.

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind. Isaiah 64:6 (NLT)

When I confess the work of Jesus I’m saying:

1. Jesus made me right with God.

2. Jesus ____________ for me.

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5 (NLT)

Jesus made it easy for us by doing what was hard for him.
