Prayer Updates

We believe that God moves through prayer and we believe God moves people to pray.  As you pray for our family, our launch team and Turning Point Church, here is what we are praying for right now.  Will you join us in praying?

People:  We know God wants to build a church here but a church takes, well, people!  Would you pray that God will point us to the right relationships?  Pray that God will draw people to what we are doing?  Would you pray that our launch team feels the burden and opportunity to invite those in their spheres of influence as well?

God's Favor:  We constantly talk about having God's favor in this community.  We are not here to take over, but to come alongside and serve our community.  We want to make a difference for Christ's name.  Would you pray that as we connect with the local government, local businesses, local churches and local influencers, that God will give us favor  We have been praying this verse: 'I will give you favor every place you put your foot as I promised Moses.  Be strong and courageous'.  (Joshua 1:3, 6)

In roads into the Latino community.  Our heart is to build a church where Anglos and Latinos come together.  We want a church that is a reflection of what heaven looks like.  We know that means bridging the gaps that often exist between different cultures.  Would you pray we can do that? Would you pray that God will introduce us to Anglo and Latino families that have the same passion?

Resources:  Planting a church is costly!  Would you pray that God would raise up people, families, churches to support what we are doing through Turning Point Church.  We are only 2 months in and the first two years are the most critical financially for every church plant.

A facility:    We will need to have a place to start services in September.  We would love want to partner with a local business, community center or school to see what will work out.  We are looking to find a place that seats a few hundred, has some space for kids and where we can grow in the community.  Would you pray that for us?

'The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective'.
